Parades

Parades are a "must" for our summer. We begin with the Weston Pioneer Days parade which is all of about six blocks long! It is a great parade for young horses to first experience. We have started many a parade horse here! Then we do the Muddy Frogwater Parade which is our hometown of Milton Freewater's celebration. Over Labor Day weekend we enjoy the Walla Walla Fair and Frontier Days parade. Then we do the Pendleton Round up Westward Ho parade and see the rodeo afterwards. Probably our favorite parade is the Milton Freewater Christmas Light Parade. We decorate the horses with battery powered lights, tinsel, red and gold bows, and all kinds of garland. We dress up warm in red with red Santa hats for us and the horses. We hand out candy to the kids. We love to throw candy to the spectators but this has been outlawed in most cities. Too sad... We do it during the Christmas parade whether we're suppose to or not! It just wouldn't be Christmas without the candy!!
