March Tutorial

I was browsing around in my tube files and came across this cute lion and lamb. So the old March saying “ In like a Lion... out like a Lamb” popped into my head. I messed around with them quite a bit and this is what I came up with.

You will need
PSP 7 or 8 and Eye Candy 4000. Remember to Save Often! After each little set of directions you might want to save it as a different number or just keeping saving and replacing.

This is my first try at a tutorial so bare with me. If anything is unclear please email me.

This tut is written for PSP8. Here goes:

1. Down load the zip file of the lamb, lion, and daffodils
here.

2. Unzip them, and open them in PSP. Minimize each of them until time to use them.

3. Open a New Image 600 X 600 white background.

4. Click on the Lion graphic. Edit - Copy. Click on your New Image. Edit - Paste as a New Layer. Rename this layer Lion1. To Rename a layer click on the layer you want to rename. The right click and you will see the choice of Rename. You may now close out your lion graphic.

5. Click on Image - Resize. Resize your lion about 40%. Make sure Resize all layers is Unchecked. Place your lion over to the left of your New Image about 1 inch down from the top.

6. Add a drop shadow. Go to Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow. Use these settings.

7. Repeat steps 4 - 6 for the Lamb. But resize the lamb to 30%. Name that layer Lamb1. Place the lamb on the right side of the New Image about 3 inches down from the top.

8. Repeat steps 4-6 for the daffodils. Resize them to 10%. Name that layer daffodils. Place the daffodils behind the lamb so you’ll need to move this layer underneath the lamb1 layer
.
