In April of 2001 I was invited to join the Garden of Friendship.  I had not been familiar with online groups like this before so I thought it looked like fun.  I joined and by May of that same year I had been asked to be the Committee Leader of the Family Ties committee.  This committee was a magazine type committee.  The members wrote articles with family advice... everything from kidding your kids to bed on time to housebreaking that new puppy.  When the Newsletter committee and the Pet Lovers committee was started it seemed the Family Ties committee was a bit redundant so it was dissolved in September of 2002.  In June of 2002 I   had joined Adoptions.  I wasn't in that group for very long when I was asked to be the CL there.  I have been there ever since.  Along the way though I joined the Photography group when it first started and was ACL of it.  Then the CL left and I was "acting" CL for several months.  When things were running a bit smoother I resigned from Photography and just concentrated on Adoptions.  I have been a member of TagginTime and Tuts n Techniques now for a couple of years.  This summer I have rejoined Photography.

I have made many wonderful friends along the way.  Many have left the Garden and I still keep in contact.  Some friends have moved on to that Golden Garden of the Lord and I still miss them.  It was a different experience mourning for a friend that I had actually never met in person.  It was hard because my family did not really understand how I was feeling with the loss of these friends.  To them, it was not real.  But it was very real to me!

There are still many friends in the Garden that I enjoy everyday!  And I also meet new friends here in the Garden all the time.  Friends are always there to cheer me up, encourage me, and stand behind me.  It is a WONDERFUL place!  I enjoy it more than I can say.
